The TC-778 is a phono preamplifier for moving magnet
cartridges which facilitates
the connection of either one 33/78 turntable, or of a separate 33 turntable
and
78 turntable to an existing audio amplifier, PC sound card, or CD recorder.
The TC-778 can be used to boost the output of almost any phonograph
turntable
equipped with a magnetic pickup. It is a high quality device having low
audio
distortion, wide frequency response and low noise. It also has phonograph
record
equalization for either modern RIAA records or for early 78 RPM records.
The TC-778 combines the proven low noise discrete RIAA design found in the
TC-750
with the ability to select equalization much more appropriate for playing
and
recording 78rpm records. Dedicated rear input jacks accommodate a separate
78
table; or the same input can be used for both RIAA and 78 (for those of you
who
have one table capable of playing all record speeds). Simply set the rear
panel
switch to the position which suits your situation
